E-bikes stolen from Raleigh’s store in Santa Monica

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (BRAIN) — Thieves broke into Raleigh’s new company store here late Sunday, making off with six bikes. The company and police are asking the public and nearby retailers to be on the lookout for the stolen bikes, which include electric mountain bikes retailing for up to $5,000.

The thieves smashed the front door of the store, said Justin Shniderman, the store’s general manager. The store opened late last month.

Six bikes were taken; one was recovered from a nearby alleyway.

Shniderman asked that retailer be on the lookout for the bikes and also for anyone wanting to purchase e-bike chargers (for Bosch, Yamaha and IZIP) andor keys for the stolen e-bikes. Police also released security camera photos (below) showing two male thieves inside the store and in the alley during the break-in.
