Bell and Blackburn restructure bike marketing, product teams

SCOTTS VALLEY, Calif. (BRAIN) — Bell Helmets and Blackburn is adding three people to product and marketing. The new hires will assist with the introduction of several new products and carry forward consumer marketing programs such as Bell Built, Joy Ride and Blackburn Ranger programs.

Sean Coffey, former senior brand manager for Bell, will now head up product development as the category manager for Bell’s specialty bicycle helmets.

Heather Cooper has joined as director of brand marketing for Bell and Blackburn. She’s responsible for marketing, advertising, public relations, events and retail marketing. Cooper’s experience with retail strategy and marketing will benefit the success of how Bell activates with its dealer partners. She most recently held marketing positions with IMBA and Clif Bar.

James Hibbard has joined as brand manager for Bell Bike, leading communications and integrated marketing around key products and programs. Hibbard has held marketing positions with Specialized and Giant Bicycles prior to joining Bell.

Austin Rojas was named sports marketing manager for Blackburn and Bell Bike. Rojas will focus on identifying and activating a wide range of athletes and ambassadors for both brands that support anything from traditional sports marketing efforts to more grass roots programs like the Blackburn Rangers.
