Website Issues 1 week, 5 days agoI have noticed that the place to type in a post only shows one line at a time. which makes it difficult (for us simple members) to complete thoughts and sentences. I know it was not always like that, but it changed at some point.

Website Issues 2 months agoRoss, I’m not sure you would consider this a bug or not. However, I find it to be somewhat of a bother.
If I’m signed into the site and then leave to surf elsewhere for a while and I hit the icon I have on my bookmarks bar for VR (which is a straight/plain “http://www.veloreviews.com” link), it shows me as not being “signed in”. However…[Read more]

Website Issues 3 months, 2 weeks agoMore text problems. The third reply on a forum post is to dark to read.
-
Hmmm. Hey @rockclimber – I’m having a hard time identifying this one. I’m looking at a page like the link below that has 4 replies and the font colors seem to be alternating every other reply for me as they are supposed to. Can you maybe point me to a location where this is occurring for you? Also – what browser and OS are you using?
Thanks…[Read more]

It seems to be mainly on the JAC posts.
I have tryed it on chrome, internet explorer and safri. -
-
I found one like this, too. Here’s the link:
Al is replying to Fred’s question on Al’s own blog post. His text is in black (but the link he also posted is in white). The black is *very* difficult to read.
-
This should be fixed now.
-
OK – actually this is only partially fixed. Replies after a reply-to-a-reply (follow that logic?) break the formatting. Example is http://veloreviews.com/blog/2010/09/12/finished-the-sept-12-2010-tour-de-tahoe/ – after JAC responds with ”I’ll definitely be back next year too”

Website Issues: 4 months agoFor some reason The reply button is missing. i can type out me response but I cant submit it.
-
Where is that happening? What type of item were you attempting to reply to?
-
RC, you might have to submit that reply as a new status update. Or send Ross a PM. Be sure to include which browser you’re using.
I’ve been looking around to see if I could find where the “post” button wasn’t showing or the text “reply” link. I haven’t found it, yet. RC, could it also just be that the page hadn’t fully downloaded? …[Read more]

Ok, so my problems was when I was replying to a reply like this. Now the page reloads every time time I try to reply, usually the text box just drops down. When I was having a problem the box slid down but the post button was hi under the next writing on the page. It seems to be fixed.
P.S. I was using safari.

Website Issues: 7 months, 1 week agoI seem to be having a problem with thumbnail previews…I just posted a link to http://ttlens.zenfolio.com/2011-lkhc-2-selects (a photo hosting site), and the little thumbnail selector widget comes up, but it shows the broken image icon instead of an actual photo. I’m reasonably sure that Zenfolio is not the problem, as this functionality works…[Read more]

Hmmm, I was able to see the thumbnails just fine. Don’t know what to tell you…
-
Just to be clear: I’m talking about the thumbnail display *here*, on veloreviews.com…not on Zenfolio (which, obviously, are fine). You’re able to see them here? I’m not, in 3 different browsers, two different operating systems.
-
Ahhh, okay, I see what you’re saying. Yeah, no, I don’t see them. I only see a straight text link in one browser (my main browser). I went to another browser, just now, and see the broken link about which you’re “speaking”.
So, I looked into the code for your post. I see a reference to an image inside the href tag. This…[Read more]

Right, so the thing is, that (broken) code was automatically generated by Buddypress (?) when I clicked the ‘share link’ button. I did not enter the image code, only the destination link. I was presented with the little “thumbnail selector” but even at that time it was showing broken image links. So something seems to be wrong in the…[Read more]

I looked at the code and realized this one is because Al copied the code of this post from his IPF blog. That blog has a white background and black text. I suspect this is why some of his other posts have black in there intermittently. So, @alpainter, don’t copy code directly! Instead, copy the text into notepad and then copy again out of notepad…[Read more]
