Pro Cycling 4 days, 1 hour agoI know I’m late to the party, but any projections re Tour of California? Some huge stars are here as well as lots of what’s considered the future of USA cycling elite.

Pro Cycling 1 week, 1 day agoWell, it’s showing right now on the video streaming tab – first link under the “cycling” tab.
Though, it said Giro d’Italia 14:30pm. I’m not sure if that time is their time or ours. Must be there’s. […]

Pro Cycling 1 week, 1 day agoIn a variation of the divide and conquer strategy, only Frank is riding the Giro. I suspect only Andy will ride the TdF. I think the idea is to quit worrying about your brother and totally concentrate on your self.

Pro Cycling 1 week, 1 day agoJack – interesting you went with Frank Schleck. I’m thinking Andy over Frank for the Giro.

Pro Cycling 1 week, 2 days agoI was planning to pick Nibali but Liquigas went with Basso. Too bad, without Contador I think Nibali would have won last year. I was hoping he would get his shot this year. So I’ll say Frank Schleck followed by […]

Pro Cycling 1 week, 3 days agoJust watched stage three in the Giro and thoroughly disappointed. That crash was ridiculous and now Taylor Phinney is out of the tour altogether. Really stinks when stuff like that happens.

Pro Cycling 1 week, 3 days agoI know I was really rooting for him. It sucks he had the difficulty but like they were saying he held it together and was very professional and I think that is what kept him from really losing too much time.

He won convincingly by 9 seconds which is a huge margin over 8.7kms.

Pro Cycling 1 month, 1 week agoAnother interesting result for Paris Roubaix was Taylor Phinney finishing 15th. He was the top placed young rider. Almost everyone ahead of him was over 30. I think it takes a few years to train your body to take the punishment needed for the classics, Taylor was 14 seconds back of teammate Thor Hushovd and was at the lead of 11 riders who got the…[Read more]

Pro Cycling 1 month, 1 week agoParis-Roubaix 2012 seemed another exciting edition but I was disappointed with the MBC Sports coverage. First Tom Boonen is out front but we never get to see the move. Then the race on the velodrome for podium positions has riders catch the group at the last minute. It seemed a total surprise to the announcers. Were the TV feeds that bad? Could…[Read more]

Whoops I meant NBC Sports. I am not watching some magical feed named MBC :-)
I tried the cycling.tv trial and liked it so much I signed up for the next 3 months. The feed was good, no buffering issues, the commentators were good, no commercials and they started the feed at 7am eastern time!
At the same time I was streaming the EuroSport feed on another computer. That feed was a little at times choppy but decent. The…[Read more]
I just got home from a long trip, so I plan to watch recorded coverage of PR today…but disappointed to hear that NBC Sports is picking up where Versus left off! The worst coverage ”infraction” ever was two years ago when Versus switch from the final 3km of a Tour of California bunch finish to bring us Hockey pre game footage!!!
I have been watching the Giro D’Italia on NBC and have been thoroughly disappointed so far; and only after two days! Especially since I see that Velo Reviews is streaming the Giro and I just spent $15 to get it. I will definitely have to check out cycling.tv.
