WATERTOWN, Mass. (BRAIN) — Seven Cycles Inc. has released a special-edition bike saluting the 40th anniversary of Chris King Precision Components. The tribute bike is dressed in King’s 40th Anniversary Olive Crate components with a matching paint scheme.

Seven built the CK40 bike on its new RedSky SL medium-reach road bike platform. The frame fits tires, from 23c road slicks to 32c file treads, or 28c tires with fenders. The paint design includes color-matched, Olive Crate green and a recurring “40” motif throughout, both in paint and bead-blasted titanium.

The Seven CK40 Special Edition bike will be on view at King’s factory in Portland, Oregon, through the end of the year. Similar models featuring King’s anodized components are available for order through authorized Seven Cycles retailers.

“What an honor, really, to be asked to create a special bike for Chris. Even from 3,000 miles away, I think he knows how much we admire his work and history in this industry. Of course, we work with the team at King every day as a partner on complete bikes, but this is something special, and we were humbled to be invited to do this work,” said Seven Cycles founder Rob Vandermark.
