Following injury, the UCI suspends disc brake testing in pro peloton

AIGLE, Switzerland (BRAIN) — Following an injury at last weekend’s Paris-Roubaix race, the UCI announced Thursday morning that it has stopped testing disc brakes in pro road racing.

Earlier this week the pro racer’s association, Association Internationale des Groupes Cyclistes Professionnels, publicly demanded that the UCI stop the tests, which began on a limited basis last fall, and then expanded to allow the brakes in all WorldTour races this season but on a trial basis.
