My spin coach here in Oakland is always reminding me that 80% of weight loss/weight management (especially when atheletes hit a plateau) is about calorie consumption, and only 20% is about workout intensity/duration.

I have come to learn this lesson slowly, and it is hard to put into practice; but it will keep you from overtraining or ignoring your body’s warning signals as you feel the need to burn more.
