Sometimes I do this on my road bike but today I took the commuter. It is not as fast but rides better with a heavy load. Plus it has platform pedals, so I don’t have to carry sandals to wear in the store.
First stop is Hilltop Farms, our CSA, to pick up fresh organic produce. Here I am parked out front. Got sweet potatoes, peppers, basil and rosemary.

Next stop was the grocery store for the rest of what we needed. I use the self checkout lanes and load directly into the panniers. I filled them both and a canvas bag I brought with a few things in a plastic bag as well.

The whole trip is about 17 miles.I went all day without driving the car at all.
